Message of the Executive Director – October 2020

Asalamu Walaikum wa Rahmatullah,

Insha’Allah you, your families and communities are well, healthy and safe.I am pleased to present to you our October newsletter.  Alhamdulillah, we welcome the new month in recognition of Islamic History Month in Canada.  Recognizing the rich history and traditions of Islam both within and beyond Canada is a strong inspiration for us to continue to develop a vibrant and thriving Islamic presence in Canada.  One that celebrates diverse ways of living, learning, and building community.

O humanity! Indeed, We created you from a male and a female, and made you into peoples and tribes so that you may (get to) know one another.  Surely, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah(swt) is the most righteous among you.  Allah(swt) is truly All-Knowing, All-Aware.

This past month we also led the successful re-opening of our full-time schools across the country.  Our school staff and administration worked tirelessly through August to plan and deliver a school re-opening protocol that was in adherence to the local guidelines.  This year, we recognize it will be different, however, we continue to commit ourselves to an academic, social, and personal development curriculum that strives for excellence, Insha’Allah.

Finally, we know that with the potential second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic looming around the corner, there will be some apprehension about the potential impacts.  We, as an organization are committed to continuing to monitor this, and will prioritize the health and well-being of our communities, staff and students through this, Insha’Allah.  We have been working to solidify our protocols and communication, and with the tawfeeq of Allah (swt), will continue to serve our communities in the safest ways possible, Insha’Allah.

May Allah (swt) guide, heal, and protect our communities, Insha’Allah and give us strength in health and Iman.  Ameen.
