La citoyenneté dans la vision Islamique

المواطنة في الرؤية الإسلامية

*Primary Language is French with English translation

Citizenship is essentially the status of belonging to a greater mass.  How do we envision ourselves as global citizens who simultaneously carry our identity and pride of Islam?  As a leading scholar in fatwa, research, international boards of Muslim scholars, and contributor to Islamic thought and Muslim realities, Dr. Jaballah will bring these diverse perspectives as he addresses the concept of citizenship and how this fits within a framework of Islamic identity.

“O You who have attained faith! Be ever steadfast in upholding equity, bearing witness to the truth for the sake of God, even though it be against your own interests or those of your parents and kinsfolk. Whether the person concerned be rich or poor, God’s claim takes precedence over (the claims of) either. Do not, then, follow your own desires, lest you swerve from justice: for if you distort (the truth), behold, God is indeed aware of all that you do!” (Q., 4:135)
